Dennis D. Bielfeldt

Dennis D. Bielfeldt is a philosophical theologian whose work explores the intersection of analytic philosophy, metaphysics, and Christian theology. His research focuses particularly on the conditions of intelligibility underlying theological discourse: the relation between logic and theology, the metaphysical grounding of normativity and teleology, and the ways in which classical Christian doctrines—especially creation, Logos, and Christology—bear upon contemporary philosophical questions.

Much of the work gathered on this site develops a sustained argument: that theology is not merely expressive or symbolic discourse, but a form of ontological speech concerning the conditions under which reality, intelligibility, and truth become possible.

His scholarly publications span philosophical theology, analytic philosophy of religion, metaphysics, and Lutheran theology.
